With over 15 years of experience, Carolina has led sustainability and social impact initiatives across sectors. She is the co-founder of Myzelio, a rapidly growing consultancy that supports organizations in transitioning toward a regenerative future, and currently serves as Director of Regenerative Business Development at Mundo Común, an NGO focused on interdependence and care. Prior to founding Myzelio, she spent nearly eight years at AB InBev, where she led local and global sustainability efforts, including managing the 100+ Accelerator as Global Director of Sustainability and Innovation and Global Director of Nature. She has been a mentor and investor in startups and has served on several Boards of Directors. Carolina is a lawyer with a specialization in Economics from Universidad de los Andes and has taught courses on environmental law and sustainability. She has been recognized as one of the 50 Rising Stars in ESG by the Women of the Future Initiative and is a One Young World Ambassador, Homeward Bound Fellow (Antarctic Explorer), and Aspen Institute First Mover Fellow.

Benjamín Ardila

Benjamín Ardila is a business-focused AI and analytics expert with over 15 years of experience designing and deploying ML models across industries such as energy, banking, telecommunications and retail. Currently based in Colombia, he serves as CTO of Beetmann, a Mexican renewable energy company, where he leads the development of the 'Energy Intelligence' concept — using data and AI to optimize power generation and consumption.
Driven by a vision of accelerating the energy transition in Latin America, Benjamín combines his deep technical knowledge with strategic thinking to bridge the gap between advanced analytics and sustainable energy solutions. His work is grounded in a belief that AI can not only improve system efficiency but also enable more resilient, adaptive, and cleaner energy infrastructures.

David Quispe
Research Associate at TUM
David Quispe is an Indigenous AI researcher whose family comes from the Cotopaxi region in the Ecuadorian Andes, now based in Toronto. His work focuses on Human-Centered AI and Deep Reinforcement Learning for energy and other highly regulated sectors. Motivated by early experiences in the Ecuadorian Amazon, he explores how to validate and regulate AI systems for safe use while advancing sustainable energy solutions. With a strong technical background from the University of Toronto and active collaborations in the research community, David is also a strong advocate for Indigenous inclusion in AI research, emphasizing the importance of holistic, interconnected worldviews in shaping our technological future. -
Santiago Martinez Balvanera
PhD at UCL
Santiago recently completed his PhD at UCL, focusing on machine learning for acoustic biodiversity monitoring, supervised by Prof. Kate E. Jones and Dr. Oisin Mac Aodha. His research developed novel methods for identifying key acoustic signatures in limited data scenarios. Transitioning from mathematics, he worked as a data scientist at CONABIO, contributing to national acoustic monitoring initiatives. Santiago is dedicated to open-source collaboration, developing software tools for bioacoustics, and currently focuses on robust bat echolocation call identification.
